I have a poodle. I would like for her to have puppies. My question is at what age will she first come into heat and what is the best age for her to give birth?

Why do you want to breed her? I am a firm believer that breeding should be left up to the breeders. Do you know if she is breed quality. If you have your heart set on breeding her, find a reputable breeder, and talk with them, have them look at her and get their opinion on whether she is breed quality. They can then answer any of your questions, and help you out. This internet is a wonderful source to find anything. Do a search on poodle kennels and go from there. Good Luck.

I have to agree. There are so many dogs without homes. Another concern would be finding homes for the puppies. If you are thinking of doing it to make money off the puppies, you won't. It will cost you a lot of money. You would be much more likely to end up spending much more than you would ever recieve.
