I was sort of in a rush but my sheltie had tons of mats in her fur and i couldn't let her walk around like that so i got out the sicssors and brush. i worked on it for a while but was forced to cut a lot of her hair out. Now that i step back and look at her, she has a huge "bald" spot where i had to shear off tons of hair! Will is grow back normally? How long will it take? Thanks!

Don't panic, yes it will grow back exactly the same, just like our hair grows. It will take about 3 months to be fully grown, but after 3 weeks the fur should be through to some length, you may be able to trim the rest in that area to make it match in a bit, if you can afford it take her to a professional, if we lived closer I would do it for you for nothing, but I think it would be impossible ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

There's a sheltie down the way, that the owner shaved every summer. The new growth will all come in at the same in & knot free. You could try it.
