my dog has a problem once a month or so he is 3and a half collie shepherp mix and is generally healthy. But he gets times where he obviously feels sick and will lick the floor carpet anything especially if he can find a corner with hair in it. I think he lets the hair tickle his throat inducing vomitting?
Should i take him to vet i would but its always a late night thing and by morning hes spry and ready to play. What do i do?"

You should take him to a vet anyway. Even if you just make an appointment to take him in and describe what is happening. The vet might now what it is just by a description. Is it something that happens every month like every 30 days? Or is it irregular. If it is irregular, it sounds like it might be that he's eating something that is a poison or something.
