Hi All:
I won't go into the past 2 months of my 2 year old Basenji mix having mites, allergies, licking her paws until they're bald (bitter apple doesn't even help). The vet wants her tested for allergies, but I'm not sure it's that. Anyway, the problem now is her tongue darts in and out of her mouth all day. There's nothing on it, no cuts, nothing in her mouth. Then she just starts licking anything that's around... my arm, the carpet, the door. It's like she needs to **** something. Any ideas?

The paws do definately sound like an allergy, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to get it tested. The licking sounds more like a mineral, vitamin, or electrolyte deficiency.
