We have been using Frontline on our 2 yr old Sheltie since March. It has worked pretty well until the last few weeks - but right now, she has fleas & flea poop all on her, and dozens of flea bites. Her last bath and Frontline treatment was 2 days ago. We have sprayed the yard, bug bombed the house, washed all her bedding (every week w/bleach), and wash her toys each week. How can we get rid of the fleas? How can we relieve her itching & scratching?
Thanks!

The frontline has not had time to take full effect yet, give it a couple of more days. Also, you shouldn't apply it immediately after a bath. The bath removes the oils from the coat that transports the Frontline all over the body.

Something you might want to try in conjunction with frontline is a flea bite dermatitis shampoo or spray. Try to select a natural product so it will not effect frontline. Try to find one containing Citrus oil, Penny Royal,Aloe Vera and Eucalyptus. These ingredients will help sooth and condition the irratated areas of the skin so the healing process can begin. Rio Vist Products makes spray and a shampoo called D-Limonene this product has worked wonders on my Australian Cattle Dog.

Hello I haven't had any success with frontline. I've used it as the packet says and I've also applied it a few days after a bath and my dog still suffered badly from fleas.
I have been using a Pennyroyal Shampoo for six months now, and he has not had any more flea problems. I've also heard "Neem oil" products are good.
