My lil pit bull Ace is now 12 Weeks and only one of his testicles have dropped. I'm kinda concerned about this. The breeder we got him from was asking us about using him as a stud for just one time. So we wern't planning on getting him neutered right at 6 months. If he only has one testicle we will have to right?? When i took him to the vet last week it took a while for the vet to even find the second one, its not in his abdomon (sp) its stuck she said but i cant remember what she said it was stuck on, not to familiar w. vet terminilogy. So i guess what im asking is can it still drop?? and in the mean time is there anything that i can do, and is he in any pain at all( lastnight he cried in his crate in the middle of the night for 2 hrs straight, besides me taking him out for about 10 mins, so that dawned on me that maybe he was hurting) and if it dosent drop , is my only option neuter when he is old enough??
thanks

he isnt suitable as a stud if only one of his testicles has dropped anyway so your best option is to get him neutered whatever happens. His fertility will be reduced if one of his testicles is retained in the abdomen and there's always a chance it could be a genetic thing which he will pass onto his offspring. He certainly wont be winning any shows with only one testicle dropped and its irresponsible to use a dog as a stud that isnt a big time winner anyway.
i would say get him neutered asap, retained testicles can cause all sorts of health problems.
