I posted this in the general section by mistake, but no-ones replied there yet...

I have heard that dogs with boney "whip" like tails can get cancer in the tail due to the tail constantly cracking against hard things.

My parents' dog (a Viszla) has a tail like this. When she gets excited, her tail cracks on the coffee table, walls, TV, my daughters forehead (poor kid!), you name it. It looks like it should be really painful for the dog...

Anyway... any credibility to that story?

Well i am not sure if that is true or not. b/c how could it get cancer by cracking it against sumthing? o don't get it. but as u see i am not a vet. lol! u coiuld do sum research on it.
