If she is already six weeks in and there are only nine weeks of pregnancy I would say she has a lot of pups and is showing already.
Did you worm her before mating? how much extra are you feeding her?
All seems normal to me, although I have'nt seen pic, but my Ellie was so big in the last two weeks that she had to waddle. [Big Grin]

Nice to see you are such a caring owner, and worry about your little girl, see if you can post a pic. of her now. I'm surprised your vet does'nt want you to take her in, I would give him a ring back, who cares what he thinks about you worrying, and get her checked out so you can feel reassured that all is o.k.
Is she panting, or showing any signs of discomfort?

yeh! a new vet sounds like the answer, mine are never like that, they will advise me over the phone, and if i'm relly concerned they will say come down straight away.
You may find that her size is making her uncomfortable so she finds it hard to sleep, have you got a frame bed for her, or some soft foam, also they get a lot warmer and shed their fur when pregnant, can't hold their bladder as well, and the pups movement wakes them.
Try feeding smaller meals more often, and plenty of fresh water.
When Ellie was just having her first litter, I had her right beside me, even at night, I had to get up at least twice in the night, to let her out, I was worried about her too, My thoughts, if anything happened to her I could'nt live without her, we are so attached. I was glad when it was over, I was on the phone to the vets while a pup was comming out, and Ive been doing this for years with other dogs. silly are'nt I.
