My dog will be 2 this month. I am getting him fixed on Monday. He is a lab and is very hyper. I dont know what to expect. How can I keep him calm after the surgery? I need any ideas. I took they day of work so I can be with him, but he gets excited over anything and is so hyper.

Don't be too worried, it is a very minor and quick operation, most vets nowadays just snip the scrotum, pull out the testicles and 1 or 2 stiches and it's done, the anaesetic will keep him quiet for the evening, by the morning he will be back to his usual self, no guarantees that his hyper will be gone, but you will stop all those nasty habits of marking etc.
-------------------- I love my labs.
