I BREED TERRERS, i kept a ***** from the last litter and had a litter born last night, thing is the ***** from last litter is lying in with mum and new pups, mum doesnt seem to mind and pups are staying with her but does anyone know if this can cause problems??? little dog doesnt want to be seperated from her mum

Very, Very unusual, mum may tolerate it for a while, but you will have probs as the litter gets older, feeding especially, I would take the older pup out, it is not worth taking the chance, she may become jealous, could play too rough, eat their food, not to mention accidently squashing one. Now would be as good a time as any to get her used to it.

thanks ellie, the thing is the mum didnt like it to start with, so i took the older pup out, but now the mum doesnt seem bothered, older pup is very gentle anyway, wont go near the pups, she is just lying at the other end of the bed(big big bed)
