Hi
For the past week my puppy has been treated for a bladder infection with antibiotics but she seems no better.I came downstairs on wednesday 10th to find her sitting on her soaking wet bedding(she has paper down at night)and had made no attempt to go on the paper. She was also leaking during the day and kept going outside to the toilet her urine was clear no blood that i could see.I took her to vets as this is very unlike her (at 11wks just got her housetrained during the day asking to go out ect dry in the crate for upto 3hrs)and she had a minor infection. It is now over a week later and she is dryer during the day but whenever she sleeps even for 15mins she wets the bed and doesn't even appear to notice and every morning i have to bath her as she is soaked smelly and quite sore.Waiting for some gr urinalysis+ cytology?results from vet but need some advice as i thought antibiotics would be working by now and i am worried it may be something more serious. she is eating and playing fine trying to chase cats its just the wetting that is the problem
thanks
ps Thanks lou3 for your PM.

My yellow female lab came with a UTI at the age of 7 weeks old. She was on antibiotics until she was 5 months old. It seemed that she would get better for a couple of days and then regress again. I finally told the vet to pull her off the anitbiotics since they weren't helping at all. She has an innie, not an outie, for a female part which might be the cause of the infections. We spayed her shortly after we took her off antibiotics. We have had very little problems since then.

Just becareful of the antibiotics. My fear was that my pup was going to build a resistance up to them and then not be effective if she needed them for something else.

Good Luck at the vet!
