Thank you for reading my concern. I have a boxer mix that is usually very energetic & very healthy. At about 1 pm today she started spitting up some bile, but mostly just foaming spit. She went outside in our yard for a bit and we found her laying down in the bushes. My son carried her to the car and we took her to an emergency vet clinic. On the way she spit up (just foamy spit) about 3 more times. She perked up some at the vets office and did not spit up. The exam did not detect an abdominal pain, swelling or fever. They gave her an iv of fluids and an injection of famoidine (peptid ac) and we brought her home. Along the way she spit up once (this would be about 15-20 times since 1 p.m.) Since we have been home she has not had any spit up or dry heaves, but is lathargic. She has gone out once to pee. We thought we would wait 5 hrs from our vet visit, before returning and requesting an x-ray. The only thing we can think of is she had a rawhide chew last Thursday. I'm certain dogs can get a bug now and then, but at what point do you decide it is something more. I don't want to jum the gun, but want to do what is best for my lovely dog. We welome you advice.

could she have eaten something, like snail bait, or something rotten, sounds like a bit of poisoning, your vet would know best, I would just wait it out for a couple more hours, see if she does it again. Check out your backyard, I doubt if the dog chew you gave her would take this long to react, even some plants can be poisonous, I would have a look around your yard.
