Hi! My beautiful mixed breed dog has a pink nose that the skin is peeling on and is very irritated. She licks it alot and now it is bleeding. It looks terribly uncomfortable, does anyone have any suggestions for me? She's my baby and I need to help her.

Penaten Cream - it's commonly used for diaper rash. It is very thick and coats well.

How did she damage her nose - sun burn?

Hi, I'm new here...

My advice, try Neosporin, it'll keep it from getting infected. I fit gets worse, I'd call your vet...

You will need to get something that is non toxic to dogs to put on her nose, I would ask your vet if they have something over the counter, if it was caused by sunburn you will have to put sunscreen on her nose in future, sounds weird I know but we have major sun probs in Australia and that is what we do.

The cream I recommended in non toxic & thick enough to last at least 20 min or so with a pup licking her nose.

What I would do it treat it like any injury - clean - disinfect - protect. I like polysporin with mild pain relief built it but she will probably like it off in a second.
