Hey everyone! Took Conan to the vet for the first time today...he is the picture of health, and definately Mr. Popularity [Wink]

He is 11 weeks old today, and his weight is at 22.2 lbs and climbing! Our breeded was excellent, so all he really needed was the distemper shot, the kennel cough injection (in his nose [Frown]

) and he was heartworm free. We are starting him on Sentinel now. He was so well behaved, and he even fell asleep on the examination table, right after giving the vet a big, sloppy, wet kiss! We are so proud of him! Ok, choking myself up now [Blushing]

where are my tissues...I LOVE MY GENTLE GIANT!!!

Aww I bet he is sooo cute!!! Glad your first trip to the vet was good...My dog is also on Sentinel and I have not had any problems with it...I love it...However, it can be expensive sometimes but I will do anything for my pup. [Smile]

11 weeks - such a cute age (& SO MUCH WORK). It's great to see you are continuing your breeders good at by getting all the shots to keep him healthly.

What is sentinel and what is it for? This is the first I've heard of it.

Barbara,
It is a pill given to your dog once a month..For my dog it costs about 70$ every 6 months...The purpose of the pill is to prevent heartworm disease, flea populations, hookworms, and remove and coltrol adult roundworm and whipworm infections. Basically it control fleas and intestinal parasites. I hope I was of help... If you want to know more check out Sentinel
