I was on a website for a local pet store...I found this Paw Wax ..Its supposed to protect your dogs feet..I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on this..I was thinking it would be a good idea considering my dogs pads are really dry from him running around...When he trys to give me his paw he scratches me with his pads.

Apparently it is very good. I know several people who have used it and said what a difference it makes.

Crystal its a good product but i wouldnt think dry paws would be something to be worried about. Look for crackes or cuts. Wax is used alot for working dogs.. i.e. search and rescue and for show dogs to get better traction , particularly useful at sites where the surface may be slick.
If your dog walks on pavement alot it might help out, if its wearing out his pads.

I would think that a dog's pads SHOULD be rough. More protection for them. That product would be something I would expect a very hard working dog to use, or perhaps it's just another gimick.

Thank you everyone...His paws aren't cracked or anything like that..Just really rough..I agree with what MissBandit said that they should be rough...I walk him regularly but its nothing excessive that would wear his paws out..Thank you everyone!!
