My Coton de Tulear turned one last month, and he still has double canines on one side. (Puppy Canine and Adult Canine side by side) I've read that this can become a problem as dogs get older, but It's the only puppy tooth he hasn't lost yet, and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Should I get the extra tooth removed or just leave it?

It is best to have the baby teeth removed. It can cause the adult teeth to be in the wrong place. Also there is more risk of decay when food get stuck between these teeth. Talk to your vet about it.

How old is the dog? I had 2 dogs not lose their pup canines before getting their adult ones. The first dog did eventually lose them before he was a year old and the other one died before he lost his. I have heard everything for pull them right away to let nature take its course. Ask for your vet's advice

Is the baby tooth a normal colour, or is it slightly black, your dog can get tetanus from this, take him to a vet to have it removed, he will also give a course of tetanus injections!!!
