Hello, I have a little 8 year old maltese dog that recently was discovered to have an elevated ALT of 100 and Total Bilirubin of 2.2. Has anyone in here had this with their dogs and if so what did they do to treat it? Thanks!!

hi kenny! My cocoa had elevated ALT as well. He was diagnosed with high liver enzymes so I had to switch him on the Hills Prescriptive diet L/D for around 3weeks and he was also given a liver pill, I believe its called liv-52 to take during that duration as well. Fortunate for me, his 2nd blood test proved to be better and he's now back to his dog food but I've switched him from eukanuba to natural balance (australia product). As for the cause of his 1st diagnosis, i have no idea [Roll Eyes] Pls keep me updated on your case.
