I am currently using Hartz brand ( the liquid you put on their neck and base of tail) and it has worked... took the dogs camping, came home gave them a flea bath and put the drops on and the next day found a dead tick on one of them.... but my question is one of my dogs loves to swim and I have creek behind my house so he gets to swim a lot, does this affect the flea and tick preventive, does it wash off or when it soaks into thier oil glands does it stay. This morning I found a tick on the one that does all the swimming... so either water does defeat the purpose or I just bought a cheapy kind that dosent last a whole month.. what do you guys think??
