Ellie is still loosing her fur, she is just about bald on her shoulders, her tail, and back legs, it is full on winter now, the other dogs have full coats. I have to put a coat on her at night as she shivers. It started when the pups were about 2 weeks old, they would now be about 14 weeks old, she is well in every other way, any ideas?

No scratching, rashes, fever? Just hair loss? That sounds like a dietary issue. Have you asked your vet about supplements?
Does it get very cold in Australia?

Yes it can get as low as 30-35 degrees in our area overnight, that is why she has the weatherbeater coat on, her coat has also lost is glossy lusture, and is quite brittle. She is back on her post mating diet, the same as the others, but I guess the pups could have taken a lot out of her, although she was on puppy food the whole pregnancy and whelping period. I have to go to the vets with Sophie pretty soon I will ask then.

Is Ellie the oldest? It really does sound like the there is a mineral or vitamin shortage. Hopefully now that the pups are weaned and gone, she can start recovery. Kiss her big time for me & make it better!!!

Yes Doglover I sure will, I have just changed the lounge around and brought the computer up here where it is warmer, and she has been looking for her chair, would you believe one whole lounge chair devoted to her!!! and no she is the youngest, nearly 3, so hopefully my baby will be around for a long time yet, Sophie is the oldest, nearly 7, she is the one being spayed. There is no rash, but she has been scratching, I put more flea stuff on, but I will ask the vet anyway, see what they think.
