Hi everyone,
i'm looking for a good flea collar or an alternate for the FRONTLINE flea drops. I give my dog a bath every week, so its just waste of money to buy the flea drops. any alternate solution to keep fleas away?
Does Electronic Flea Dog collar work?

with the front line it doesnt matter if you bath every week, as long as you dont bath within 24 hours of applying the frontline. It will still protect your dog. Flea collars are not the greatest things in the world, they can leave permenantly bald patches where they sit on the neck if you use them for any prolonged period of time. I would stick with the frontline. Lou

I would also suggest staying away from flea collars. No only do they not work very long, but everytime you pet or scratch your pet-that poision gets on your hands. With Frontline you can wash your pet as much as necessary after the first day.

Agree with the others. Frontline is the best you can use for fleas, you can still wash your dog once a week, as long as you wait 24 hours... Also, the flea collars are known not to be 100% proof. Stick with frontline.

Flea collars of any type are generally unreliable.
Whether you use Frontline or K-9 Advantix, they both allow for bathing 24 hours after application. Once it is absorbed, there is no worry of washing it off.
Even with the best preventative, there will still be the ocassional flea or tick that makes it's way onto the dog. With Frontline and Advantix, the flea or tick will die once it has bitten the dog. I haven't seen a flea collar that does that.
You're definitely better off continuing with the Frontline.

I was checking out the Yahoo and found www.flea-control-plus.com selling frontline for $21.50. Anyone know why it's so cheap?

You do have to be careful with buying stuff from discount sellers. Right now there is a lot of controversy about this. There are a lot of allegations that these products are not as potent as what you buy at the vet's office. There are also allegations about the freshness and authenticity of some of these products.
My advice is to stick with what you know you can trust until you hear otherwise from people who have had positive experiences with that website.
