Hey all-
Took Roslynd with us on a day-trip Monday, we went for a walk along the breakwater and apparently she must have slipped and skinned her knee, not too bad, just a surface scrape. I cleaned it and all that and have been watching it, so it's not infected. My question- do you think it will scar? Meaning, will her fur grow back over it, or will she have a bald spot on her knee?

It would depend on how badly the skin is damaged and other factors. More than likely the hair will grow into it even if there is a slightly bald spot in the center. It's unlikely to be noticable.
Don't worry and just monitor for infection.

what are you using to keep it clean i use polysporin on surface scrastches and cuts.

I use EMT gel... it's an antibiotic gel, yet it stops the bleeding and promotes healing.... kind of like "tough-skin" for people.....

I wouldn't worry too much, years ago my labs were play fighting, it got a bit rough, Jake my dearly departed boy came off the worse for wear, He had to have his neck drained of fluid, he lost all the fur, and it became very scabby, all this 3 weeks before a championship show!!
Luckily it was on the inside, (next to my leg) not the outside for all to see. It cleared quite well in the 3 weeks and after 3 months all the fur was back as if nothing had happened.
The vets gave me a wound spray, it was incredible, smelt a bit, Jake hated it, but it worked.
