hi, im new here, but hoping someone can give me some advice, i have a 10 month old lab, she still only has 3 of her canine teeth, all the teeth on the right side were slower coming through, but this bottom one has never appeared, do you think it is to late, or could she still get it? i have heard that this is not uncommon, but i have had 4 labs over the years and never seen it before. must add that all her other teeth are perfect, any thoughts anyone. thanks sue

So long as the baby tooth hasn't been retained and turned black all is ok. Yes it will come through in the end. If the tooth is still there and black or green you need to go to the vets.

hi ya, no the baby tooth not still there, it came out months ago with all the rest of puppy teeth, just seems strange that it is the only one missing. never seen it before, but people tell me its quite normal.

One of mine retained two bottom ones right up till 9 months, finally they came through, after the baby ones were removed, not to mention the course of tetenus injections.
