Well, I'd read a book like that, but then also take your dog to regular classes. By reading the book, you will better understand what is being done, and if you're as ADD as I am, and can't listen to the teacher for periods of more than 20 seconds,it's a really good idea to read up on what is being done. But I think regular classes are extremely important for more than just training...they give you, and your dog, a sense of knowing you've done something, that you've completed something. It teaches you how to work with yourdog on an even better level. And if you don't understand how to do something, the teacher will show you. It's also great for socialization. And it's a ton of fun. I love doing to my doggy classes, even if my dog is the worst learner there (she doesn't like to pay attention).
So, book and training classes is what I'd suggest. And it'd be best to get a book that matches your classes...like clicker clsases, clicker book, versus regular methods and a clicker book.
