I recently gradually changed my dog's food over to Hills Prescription Z/D. I did so because she was having allergic reactions to her previous food (IAMS). She's much better now; excellent appetite, more energy, hair loss is growing back.
Her stools are normal, however this new food is giving her smelly gas. I mean, enough to make you pass out. Doesn't seem to bother her any, she's usually sleeping at the time.
is this normal with a new diet ?? will it 'pass' eventually ??

The amount of meat you give a dog normally affects the smell of their gas. Check the packets actual meat content, I am not familiar with the brand you have.

Rick, after your dog's system gets used to this new dog food, the problem may cease. You could call your vet's office and ask your vet.
