Hi I am new and would like any tips you all could give me. I have a golden retr/lab puppy 3 months old. I also have 3 kids the puppy does fine with the 4 year old and the 1 year old but the 3 year old and her just hit it off wrong. The puppy likes to play and bite his armes and tug on them as if it was tug of war. I have tried firm no and my son is so upset he cant or wont say it he just stands there pulling his arm and crying. I know the puppy is just playing but how do I stop this? Any help would be great. :rolleyes:

At the current age of your dog he dosn't know right from wrong, I suggest basic obedience training by yourself or an experienced trainer. Your puppy needs to know how to react to humans and other objects, don't leave it until the last moment when he is an adult, it will be harder to teach him then.

I've always heard that when a puppy bites you're supposed to make a high-pitched yelping noise because that is what their brothers and sisters do when they are playing and the biting gets too rough. Whenever I did that with my puppy she would always stop biting immediately and look at me in an alarmed way, realizing that she hurt me.
