Does anyone else find that it is much harder to train male dogs than females. I have two males and they cannot be trusted alone at home they are trained but they still do it but my female does fine. I don't know maybe they are marking their territory? Do you think if I got them neutered it would help?

Getting them neutered will definately help. Why aren't they? However, once they start the marking behaviour, it will probably never completely be trained out of them.

I have worse time with my female. Make sure you have frequent outside visits. After each meal and each nap. [Razz]

yeah its generally accepted that females are easier than males - even neutered males in most breeds.

The older of the males marks everything outside not inside if i'm there and the the other on I have is about 6 months and he hasn't started marking yet. I am for sure going to nueter the older one but the younger he is a rat terrier and a my friend has a female which she wants to bred with him so after that then I will nueter him and hopefully it will help with the training. And I think crate training helps too since they are in there while i'm gone they never go in there but they will go in the house....
