Last year I did a puppy obedience class with our Great Dane & it was wonderful. This past week by myself I was able to teach him the Spin command, Play Dead, Go To Your Spot & Speak! We are still working on him staying in his spot once he goes there. Also, I taught him speak so that in turn I could teach HUSH. He has a very LOUD bark & can get very vocal sometimes! Any suggestions? [Smile] Bow Wow Beds

Good for you! I'd love to be able to teach my pup those tricks! How old is your pup? Cocoa can understand the basic sit-stay-come command but thats about it. Ive had no success in the down command, he just cant get it or Im doing it all wrong [Frown] U might want to share some tips on your training style. we dont have training schools in our place so I really just depend on this forum for tips. ty!

Hi ruth & ashley ~

I went to 1 series of puppy obedience classes with Vader. It was highly recommended since we have a great dane! I just recently thought "I know I can teach him some tricks on my own!" In class we learned the basics like sit & down. So, in a weeks time I was able to teach spin, go to your spot, speak & play dead. I need to teach him to hush or be quite & how to stay in his spot. I'll put a link to the website that helped me out in teaching these commands. They have many other fun tricks to use on there. Our dogs are smarter than we think!!!! Have fun with it! [Wink]

Here are some fun tricks to teach your dog!
