Start with giving the two dogs separate areas of the house. It is best to separate with a baby gate. They can see each other, and know that the other is present within the house. Introduce them in the house during short periods of time to start with. And never leave them unsupervised. Let you lab attempt to play with the other. She should let him know what she is going to allow and what she is not but you need to be there just in case things get out of hand. An occassional growl and snap is okay. They are just teaching each other what is going to be allowed. Don't push them to get along right away. They eventually will all on their own. Remember to spend individual time with each dog while they are in the house so that neither one becomes possessive of you. Good Luck.

What if my lab decides to jump the gate? he's known to jump over things.I never had them in the house together would it be a good idea to bring him in without a babygate? Lisa
