Maybe you guys/gals out there can give me some opinions on this one:
1. bought himalayn kitten (casper)
2. 1 year later bought yellow lab (sophie)
3. sophie and casper best buddies, play, race around, cuddle up, eat together.
4. sophie is about 18months old, casper 1 and half yrs. sophie does'nt like casper anymore, she attacks, chases, and even tries to kill, so we had to separate them.
Sophie is now 6 and casper 7. never been together again, obiously won't be able to, she only has to see him and goes into a mad fit to get at him. What do you think happened here. I was very disapointed back then, and still wonder?

I love my labs.

I had a cat once. Never again. She wasn't nice at all though. All of my labs have been around cats at the barn where I board and they never had a problem. They would play with them etc...
I brought one home from the shelter and I could not figure out why my dogs hated her so bad. I thought maybe they didn't like sharing their house with her. I finally figured out why. My Greta was sound asleep and my cat stalked her and swatted her right across the nose, and drew bood, for no provoked reason whatsoever. This must of happened more than once. At this point none of my dogs will tolerate the presence of any cat wherever we are.

yeh, I thought that may be the reason, as they used to tumble on the floor together in headlocks playing, maybe the cat put his teeth in too hard or something, it was a pity though, cause they were really good pals. [Frown]
