hiya i am new to this forum. I posted this mainly to say that I have a yorkie and really wanted to start agility with him. I live in Bearsden in Glasgow in Scotland. Anyway I went to a place in Hardgate called Cleddans Farm. I have only been there once and i'm not allowed to go again. The reason is my mum does not like the rocky road and because it's in a barn it's cold and dusty and since i am only 13 years old my mum says its not a good place to go for someone my age. Anyway I was wondering if anyone here knows any other agility clubs in Glagow or Bearsden? Any suggestions will be very very helpful.
Thanks in advance

i cant find anything just now, the best thing to do would be to ask your vet. Also the vet school will be running a dog show at the big rodeo in May which i think incorporates an agility demonstration so that might be a good place to find stuff out. (im helping my friend organise the small animal show too if you have a hamster or a rabbit or anything - there will be flyers posted in all the local schools and vet surgeries.) Lou

The vet school is right next to the garscube sports estate, just off the switchback road. Not sure about Arnold Clark but i think so. The rodeo held on may bank holiday weekend (the saturday) and its £5 for entry to the show ground (there are family passes and stuff too) i think the dog show is £1 per class - any dog can enter and the small animal show is £1 per animal. Everyone is welcome and its a big charity event, cant remember what the charities are this year but they are all animal related. There are all sorts of other things going on, fun stalls, free demonstrations in the main ring and the Weipers centre indoor arena, cake stalls, raffles, birds of prey demonstrations, pony rides, reptile handling sessions etc. Its a brilliant day out for the whole family, tell all your friends as well and get them to bring their dogs and small furries along for the shows. its Saturday 1st May i think - look out for flyers i'll be posting them around schools and vet surgeries in most areas. you can bring your dog along no matter what you want to do on the day but last year there were all sorts of crazy classes like fastest biscuit eater, waggiest tail and dog the judge most wanted to take home. I judged last yr . Dont forget to come and say hi to me over by the small animal show too - and bring a hamster or something (you dont have to carry them round all day you drop them off at 9:30 and the students look after them til the judging in the afternoon) Lou

yep got your Pms as long as you have your £5 to get in to the show, a couple of ££ for a couple of dog show classes and a couple of ££ for the fun stalls you should be fine money wise. You might want to bring a bit of money to buy a burger from the food vans for lunch as well. Basically you can spend as much or as little as you want. They try to cater for everyone possible so everyone can join in the fun. Lou
