Hi- I'm new to this forum. I need some info. I'm going to be helping this Dalmation recsue train their dogs. I'm good with dogs. I have 4 of them. I know that you have to be careful with the rescue dogs, because they are still very nervous & they think that they are going to be abused again. Does anybody know of any good dog training books that I could use? If you have any tips they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

So you do rescue? How wonderful! How long have you been at it? What is your favorite part?

I don't do rescue personally, because I don't have the room. I have been helping different rescues & Humane societies for more than a year. My favorite part is spending time with the dogs. I'm helping a Dalmation rescue close to my house right now. I have fallen in LOVE with one of their dogs. Her name is Twiggy. She is a Dalmation Pitt bull mix & a love bug!!! I helped them this past weekend at the adoptions that they do every weekend. Every time someone would walk in the door her ears would prick up & she would pose so that they would come over and pet her. She is beautiful. If you go to http://www.rockyspot.com/ then click on More dogs for adoption. She is the next to the last. [ June 07, 2004, 03:33 PM: Message edited by: pittie gurl ]
