My female lab came into contact of a lawn treated with a herbicide/pesticide. she developed a rash and now will not go onto lawns in general. Ive tried explaining the situation to her and used positive reinforcement on her own yard and have seen some inprovement. Has anyone had this problem? and how did you remove the fear form your dog?

I would just keep doing what you're doing: positive reinforcement- make it fun: treats, games... possibly a game of fetch in the grass that will get her mind off the "I don't want to be in the grass" anxiety and have her just get used to it again. Good luck, I'm sure her fear of the lawn will be overcome eventually with patience and understanding. And be careful of not letting it happen again! [Wink] [Big Grin]
