Hi, I am new. I have a 12 week old Aussie named Zoey. She starts puppy training school tomorrow. Anyone bring their dogs to training classes? If so,Did it work for you? She is a smart puppy. Also her stool was fine then I took her to the vets for her shots this morning. A few hours later her stoll was runny. Can the vacc make them a little sick or is it the stress?

I think stress might cause the runs...or maybe something upset her tummy. Normally, when my dogs' get the runs..it goes away fairly soon.
Kai went to basic obedience when he was about 6 months old. He knew everything before we began classes....he's one smart cookie. As soon as we walked into the training centre, it seemed like he forgot everything. He would rather bark at the other dogs and try chasing them than listen to me. The trainers tried helping but couldn't...but I guess I can't blame him since he was just 6 months old. He's about 14 months old now. We're about to start basic obedience with a different trainer in a couple weeks. I expect that he'll be alot better this time..
Good luck with your pup and the class.

I used to have a pit bull/boxer mix that did excellent at training classes. I think it helps finding the right trainer. If your pup has a harder time - at least it's good for socializing him.
