i have
Millie >> 5yo Norwich terrier
Willow >> 6yo english pointer
Jodie >> 4yo english pointer
Hayley >> 5yo cavalier king charles spaniel
Tara >> 2yo wolf hybrid
all females, not sure quite how i ended up with a terrier and a toy dog as usually both groups bug the heck outta me and i wouldnt under normal circumstances choose to own one (and i certainly wouldnt hand over money for one) Millie was just too cute to resist i think and Hayley - well someone gave her to me so i couldnt very well refuse. Wouldnt want rid of them now though but i think i might have to get a couple more big dogs to counteract the effect of the yappy little monsters. lol
OK i got really bored so i decided to edit this to include all the dogs the rest of my family own that live in my parents house (or in my twin/older sibling's houses).
my youngest sister has
Jet>> 2yo affenpinscher male
my twin brother has
Alpha>> 9yo male borzoi
locket>> 3yo female borzoi
Ginn >> 2yo female borzoi
Pearl >> 4yo female borzoi
Danny >> 4yo male borzoi
my older brother has
Gyp >> 2yo female border collie
Dart >> 4yo male wolf hybrid
Misty >> 3yo female wolf hybrid
my older sister has
Bonny >> 2yo female rescued mix
AJ >> 8yo male cairn terrier
Dusty >> 1yo female rotweiler
Rosy >> 10yo female cairn terrier
Charm >> 6yo male cairn terrier
my dad owns
Bill >> 9yo male border collie
Jan >> 7yo female border collie
Kes >> 12yo female jack russell terrier
my mum owns
Kerry >> 4yo female golden retriever
Candy >> 6yo female golden retriever
Barney >> 7yo male golden retriver
Chase >> 13yo male golden retriver
Dolly >> 1yo female godlen retiever
Caspar >> 1yo male norwich terrier
As you can probably see most of my immediate family breed dogs of one variety or another, golden retrivers, Cairn terriers, borzois and i breed English pointers.

We have a border collie/red heeler cattle dog mix. We rescued her at 6 weeks at a flea market where she was then headed to the pound. She is 2 1/2 years old now and smart as a whip. I talk to her like she is a person and get responses that are astounding! She is the most unusual but pretty dog... gets comments where ever we go. She has the slim body of a border, the softest long hair and bushy tail that is snow white. She has the red "freckles" all over like the heeler. Has the ears of a coyote!!! We are ridiculous over her!

black lab/yellow lab cross, hehe thats a funny one - they are the same breed, most black dogs carry the genes for both colours cos yellow is recessive.
And what's a cockapoo?

Hey Freckles... it's ok to be nuts for a special dog. My father had a Border Collie like that once and owning one is an amazing experience that may only come around once! Anyone who's known a dog like that knows exactly what you're talking about and how many people do? So you know how rare they are. Don't appologize for being in awe...LOL.

[Big Grin] I know that Black and Yellow labs are the same. I meant that from what we have been told that the grandfather was Yellow and the grandmother was Black. Bubba's mama is almost solid black except for a couple of small white spots. [Big Grin]

I'm owned by two Sable Shelties. My mom is allowing me to get a third dog, provided that I have a job and can pay for the dog and it's supplies. I'm hoping I can rescue a pittie, rottie or gsd from the pound as our third dog but I'm considering a collie as well.

please dont consider a collie unless you want to WORK it. competitive agility, flyball or obediance or traditional herding work. They need Sooooo much exercise and training and very few make good pets if they arent working cause they get so bored due to lack of stimulation and learn bad habits and develop dominance and agression issues.
The very minimum exercise a collie should have is AT LEAST two hours walking a day PLUS playing in the garden PLUS at LEAST four half hour formal training sessions per week. Huuuge commitment and not for the fainthearted - or those that are not experiences with collies.
just a plea from someone who has seen far too many collies with behavioural problems due to being kept in unsuitable circumstances.
Lou
