I would love to have some new dog treat recipes as I make them for fundraisers for our local canine club & I keep them on hand at work (I'm a groomer) I'm making these as a treat for my clients w/ older dogs for Christmas who may not be able to chew the hard ones very well. My dogs don't have any problems, but they love them...
Soft Dog Biscuits 2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour (you can substitute 1/2 cup flour with 1/2 cup of oats) 2 tablespoons of Brewers Yeast 1-2 garlic Cloves (1 1/2 tbsp) 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup of vegetable stock or beef stock
If recipe is dry slowly add more veggie or beef stock
For Basting: 1 egg beaten 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp ketcup sprinkle with oatmeal (Sometimes I just use the egg & oatmeal) Roll out, cookie cut and bake on cookie sheet for approx. 10 minutes at 300 degrees *Keep a good watch on them while they are baking as all ovens are different. Use within 2 weeks or refridgerate. [ December 02, 2003, 01:43 AM: Message edited by: LoriAnn ]
