Here is a link to the AKC listing for these dogs. I have a 1/2 Heeler / 1/2 Lab mix and he is wonderful. My uncle had a full blood Heeler and she lived to be 16 years old before a stroke caused him to put her to sleep. She was great.

I will ask my uncle for more information on his Heeler. I know she was sweet and he trained her to do quite a bit of stuff.
Here is another link I found on the Heeler
Cattle Dogs
Here are 2 links that are for Siberian Husky's. They have links for more information. Hope this helps.

Queensland Heelers are very, very smart, and very quick and agile, cattle dogs. Around here, they're blue heelers and/or red heelers, and they're very popular because of their intelligence and medium size.
They can be hard on other animals, however. The herding instinct is very strong in these dogs. As a rule, they are too harsh to use in herding sheep, so they specialize in cattle. We've had blue heelers who have tried to herd horses in the pasture - to the point of bloodying the horses's heels. We tried many, many different ways to keep the dogs from the horses but we had bloody horse heels until we quit having heelers.
Sometimes, they can be tough to have around children for the same types of reasons.
I love blue and red heelers, and they are great dogs. They're so smart, it can be scary. Since this dog is crossed with a husky, there may not be any problem with herding or snapping.
Good luck!
