i have 2 goldens and my male is fixed. My female had 2 litters, which I sold...before dad was fixed. 2 of the male puppies stayed here for a week while their owners were gone...and i am frightened that one of her own sons might have gotten her pregnant...how do i find out, and what options do i have to terminate it...it would be interbreeding...and i won't take a chance of her having those puppies...can anyone help with what i should do because of my big 'screw up'?

Book her in to be spayed as soon as possible. If you dont want to breed from her again then its the best thing to do anyway - much healthier for her. Definately dont let her have a litter by one of her own sons. (how old are they by the way - should they not be fixed by now too? we sell all pups that are not gonna be big show/performance winners with a must neuter clause in the sale agreement - just for the sake of making sure we sell to responsible owners and dont get any sub-standard descendants fromm our dogs) Lou

The vet can tell you if she's bred. He can also give her a mis-mate injection if it's under a certain amount of time. It will basically abort her puppies. If you do this, you may have to wait a while before getting her spayed.
Breeders do in-breed puppies regularly (although they are rethinking this), but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a VERY experienced breeder.
