Hello!
I just got a mini dachshund puppy who was born in Florida. I live in connecticut and it's very cold here. Does anyone know if I should be having him wear a doggie coat?

I live in Massachusettes and keep sweaters on my JRT's when in the snow or outdoors for longer than a potty run. They have short hair like your pup and seem to need a little sweater.

Hi, I live in Canada and I have a sweater and a set of booties for my little schnauzer. It's the only way she could keep up with a walk so she still gets exercise in the winter. Eventually they get used to wearing stuff, even get excited because they know they are going outside when they see it

sweaters on Jack Russells? those little guys are among the toughest dogs out there. For mini dachshunds a coat mite be a good idea, but only for very very cold days. Lou

I think a coat is essential for a little dog. expecially a dauchsund. that way it'll have a more enjoyable walk and a longer one.
