hi. my pug is just nearing 8 weeks, i got him quite early than usual. I noticed he's been biting on everything and was wondering if he could probably be teething? his teeth are quite sharp and ive given him plenty of toys but he still cannot get over nipping my finger or toes when it's there for the taking. I want to start reprimanding/training him but i dont know if he's going through teething stage which in this case, i'll just be more patient. is there a certain age they go through teething, if so, how old would that be? thanks!

Yes, he would be in that stage now. It will go on for awhile now. I didn't know this (DUH) but dogs loose their teeth just like we do. So as he get a little bit older you might see teeth & signs of blood around the house. Totally normal! Get him lots of chew toys to help relieve the pain.

Yes, your right, and he will keep teething till about 6 or so months, thats why we always end up with chewed up slippers etc.
The nipping at your fingers and toes should be stopped now though, they don't grow out of it, they just get bigger teeth, and if you let them do it now, they think it's o.k., yell very loudly NO every time he does it, even clap your hands to frighten him. Nasty habit, and I often wonder why breeders don't tell new owners of this, then we probably would'nt have half the probs. with dog bite injuries to young children.
Sorry not having a go at you, enjoy your new pup.
