Currently my dog is trained to go to one area of the backyard. Unfortunately this area is always yellow. I was thinking of digging up the lawn in this area and making a bed area for the dog to go to the bathroom on. I am looking for some suggestions from people that have dogs and have done something similar. I have a Black Lab who is quite smart and training him to go to one area was not a problem.

pea stone gravel is a great cover for potty areas. While it isn't that attractive in the middle of a lawn, it provides great drainage.
