I have an English Bulldog and it's just past her one year birthday(DEC 29). Over the last few weeks she has developed the strange habit of when I give her certian things to eat like a cooked bone, food in her bowl.. She starts nudging it with her nose almost trying to push it away.
I know many of you who own dogs have probably seen this before, but I too have had dogs all my life and have never seem this before.
So whats the deal with BOB ? Why is she doing this?

Sounds like she is trying to 'bury' it. Sounds crazy, but our old dog (since passed on) used to try and bury her bones and things in the CARPET. Just kept pushing and pushing it around with her nose. Silly things!

My lab has a habit of pushing gravel over his bones. It is so cute. He doesn't dig, just covers things up. Instincts are funny things

My female Akita Meka has always done that with her dog dish. She will actually push her dish under cabinets and tables.

Just a quick note here not so much about your problem but the bone. NEVER FEED COOKED BONES to a dog, they become brittle and can splinter causing internal injuries. Never feed raw pork bones or any kind of pork, they do the same.
