Help, I have made the mistake of feeding Elwood & Jake Cesar soft food once a day for the last few months, just trying to give them what I thought they would enjoy. Now they will starve before eating the dry (QUALITY) food that is there for them all day. I have tried everything!!!

They won't starve themselves to death. If you are serious about getting them to eat what you put out for them, then just leave it there. Depending how stubborn they are, it may take a couple of days. Trust me, they won't come to harm. Just keep the food there. They will come around. Actually, my dog tried this on me once. I put the food out, left it for only 10 minutes, he didn't eat it, I took it away. At dinner the same thing. At breakfast the same thing, that next dinner - he ate.

No dog will starve if food is readily available. They will come around. I did the same thing with my girl. AFter my other two died she lost her appetite so I started to mix her dry kibble with either soft food or bacon grease. One day I didn't and she wont eat. So I found some wet food, mixed it and she ate. She just trained me well and boy did she know it. If I turn my head in disgust I will get something better. Finally, I just left the kibble out for her and she did finally cave it. Took 2 and a half days. They will eat, trust me

Tin food has a much stronger smell than the dry, try mixing a bit of both, then gradually decrease the tin stuff.
