Someone please help me!!!!!! My dog left home the other day after knocking me down on the patio. He came home smelling like something dead. I read recently that it is not uncommon for dogs to roll in the scent and carcus of another dead animal. I gave him a bath and he still stinks. He sleeps in the bed with me and the scent is unbearable. Is there anything that i can use to get rid of the scent? Please help!!!!

Is it his skin or his breath? If he's eaten it there isn't much you can do til his system clears it. I think it's the oils in rotting flesh that makes the smell stick. (This will be hard on the skin) Try dishwashing soap (grease cutter) and use a scented hair conditioner. I have also heard of several products that promise to get rid of smells but haven't had much success with them.

Maybe it's time for a doggie bed?

Oh don't you just love it when they do that, makes you realize, yes they are dogs, not humans, mine are such a part of me, at times I forget about the dog bit.
I think you will have to banish him to another room for a couple of days, as stated, it will have to work it's way out of the skin, if he rolled in it, HE ATE IT TOO!!!
