New to forum but have a question on my 14 week old GSD. How do you tell at this age what coat she will be. She looks like a very thick coat and different from other GSD's. She has a little more hair around the ears but no hair between the toes which would indicate a long coated GSD. I got 2 opinions and the one from the breeder is she is a plush coated not a long coat. But a trainer disagrees and sid she is a long coated. I need to know or find out quick to sell her or keep her. Also all the internet sites that have long coated GSD are adults and hard to tell. Someone told me to wait at least 6 months when her puppy hair grows out and then you can tell. Please Help!!!

Your breeder would know best, go with what she says, after all she would own the female, and seen the male at mating.

Thanks but all indications are this could very well be a long coat. I will further evaluate unless someone has any other advice
