Hi everyone, while we are on sharing our photos, I began painting Ellie's puppy portrait 2 months ago, but I just don't seem to have the incentive to keep going with it, I have twiddled and fiddled with it, some people have a flair and can just paint, but me, I'm about to give up, does anyone think I should keep going, and get off my ar-e and finish it before Ellie passes on.

You have a very nice kitchen - now off the couch and back to painting. AND you better post it so we can all OOH & AW appropriately.
Maybe you should say you'll give it to your Lab Association so you'll have to finish it.

It is a given that you have time to paint and the fact that you are talented to do so, is answer enough if you should finish or not! I am dying to paint but my time is so very limited and if I do have time I can’t seem to focus on what I am doing. I guess the rushed city life has got something to do with it. Anyway, finish that painting and while you’re at it, make another three or four!
And we are waiting patiently to ooh and aah over all of them!

I worked on it for half an hour today, trying to get in the mood for it. Thanks about my kitchen, actually I am quite lucky, it is to die for, I love cooking in it, all the cupboards are wood, and I have a combustion stove in here too. It looks out to the dogs pens and yard, then down to the creek. Makes you feel good being in there, the lovely home smell from fresh baked bread, cakes, etc. Maybe I should post a pic of it, so you can all hate me for it. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Keep painting, just do it. I am a painter and I should tell you that you just do it from your gut, just do it! Don't think too much, don't question too much, DON'T JUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!! Just paint.......after it's done, when you feel it's done, it will exist and be part of your world. It's fabulous that you are painting your canine friend. And, yes, gorgeouos kitchen, post more photos!!!! Keep painting!!!!!!

Ellierat, I think you should definitely finish your portrait of your dog. You are doing a very good job! Why is it that when we do something, it never looks good to us like it does to other people? I sew for my dolls and put together a dollhouse and because I know every little error, I think it doesn't look good, but others think my work is great.
Another thing I want to tell you is that I'm coming to take your kitchen and bring it to my house. I also want all the goodies you make along with it so get on the ball and make lots of good food!

I think the painting was wonderful. Makes me sad that you threw it away Did you ever get the other one finished? Maybe you've posted since then. I would so love to sit in your kitchen with you while drinking coffee and chatting. It looks very homey.
