my dog has an appointment to get spade next week, but we just started noticing blood.. im wondering if they can get spade during heat

No they cant. If your dog has come into heat you will have to rearrange the apointment. three to four weeks after the heat is ok unless she has a false pregnancy in which case you will have to wait til that is over too. Frustrating isnt it. lol.

It can be risky to perform the op. while a dog is on heat. So as Lou has stated, you will have to wait, apprx. 3 weeks, till heat is over.
Make sure you keep her away from males or she will mate.
You can ring your vet asap and ask for some pills to postpone the heat, but they have to be given from the first or second day of heat.
I'm not sure if you can get her spayed straight after these pills or not.
