So, I check the websites for animal shelters in my state everyday to see if there are any weimaraners, and today, there was one!! Apparently he has been at that shelter since April, and they just got his info up today. I am going to call tomorrow and pick him up on Friday... and I have contact info for a rescue group in the general area. We don't know if we are going to adopt him for good or be foster parents. It depends on how he gets along with my Roslynd.... here is the link to his pic

I go to a weimaraner forum, too, and there are already people putting his info out to find potential adopters!!
I have been wanting
to get involved with rescue for a while now, and now here is my opportunity!!

Oh Gosh!!! I have a lump in my throat looking at him, how could anyone have given this dog away. You are so lucky to be able to give him a home, good on you, what a lovely thing to do.
Hope he is yours for good

Good for you both.... I would definately introduce them on neutral ground and off the leash first. I hope it all goes well. PHIL's a cutey. But you might want to rename him he doesn't look like a Phil to me. More like SHADOW or GREYSTONE. Something with style.

Hey all, just an update... Phil has already been adopted!!! I'm so glad, and hope he is going to a loving home where he can run and play and be "goofy" forever. I am sad, though that he isn't coming to my home to do all of those things That's okay though, there will be other weimies for adoption here, i'm sure!!
