For those of us who have a Cav (or more than 1) I want to inform everyone of a breeder in Indiana who is not legit. She sold me my cav over a year ago, she said once we had him nuetered she would give us his AKC papers. We drove 4 hours to pick him up, this lady was so sweet and wonderful on the phone. We waited 2 months to finally get him, and once we were there we couldn't wait to have him home with us. We paid 1500.00 dollars for him and have never received his papers. He is truly the love of our lives and the sweetest thing imaginable. We are sueing her for fraud. This will be our second court appearance this july. When we first went to court she did not show. The judicial clerk called her the "dog lady" This woman has been using different names and mayny people are trying to get their money back from her. It will be a long road in trying to get our money back. It isn't the fact that he is not AKC registerable, it is the fact that this woman may be breeding dogs that will have sick puppies. She is solely in this for the money. I am much smarter about the breed, and about what to ask for when purchsign a Cav. This week I found out that our Hayden's heart is enlarged, and that the xray shows that not only is the entire heart mildly enlarged, the right side is. We are taking him for an echogram in two weeks. It makes me so sad to think this woman is deceiving people and giving them such joy in their lives only to find out that they may have a sick puppy on their hands too soon. Her name is Jane Powelson. Her puppies are for sale under www.pets4you.com She is Victorian Manor in Monroeville, IN. PlEASE forward this to any one you can think of. She claims her dogs (on her website) are AKC and the Kennel club of great britain. A lot of me feels bad for doing this, but she had 13 puppies when we were there, I only wonder how all of them are doing now. It really is sad that she continues to do this and get away with it!!!
