I want to try something else other than straw for bedding in my doghouse. I hate the mess it makes and its a pain to store a broken bale.

I was thinking of trying cedar chips. Is this a good alternative? I live in an area that can get to -15 in the winter and over 100 in the summer.

Here is a link that shows a doghouse similar to mine except mine has two stalls, one on each side of the entryway.

Both my dogs are chewers so a pillow is out of the question.
