And htis time it's a breed, lol! So I know hte actual answer, not just some humane society's guess! Although I certainly think trying to figure out what mixed dogs are made of is fun...you guys will have to figure out my puppy later [Wink] But anyways, guess what this little beauty is!

Nope, that's a full grown dog. And not a lowchen (notice her butt isn't shaved?), and what is a PVGV?
Hint: It's recognized by the UKC, but not the AKC

Elite, do you think that if you don't shave a lowchen's legs, it stops beign a lowchen? lol. that picture is kinda how a lowchen looks when you dont shave its legs and butt...

but, if you say im wrong, then... I have no clue.

I still say PBGV. If you say its not akc but ukc than id guess the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen.

Very similar dogs to the Petite Bassett Griffon Vendeen.

You can google or yahoo pbgv and take a look at the pictures. The Grand , simply stands a little higher than the PBGV. If its neither of those im sure its a closely related offshoot the french have several griffons that are similar. By the way the PBGV is one of my absolute favoritist of breeds. I'm a long time fan of that breed, the resemblance to your picture is unmistakeable.

LOL, still not a lowchen. Or a PBGV.
Hint: It's named after its coat

I think they look pretty simalar...alhough the top dog looksto have been trimmed (I like their hair better long)...different colour, but otherwise the same look, I guess. Hmm...well...then guess from hte second pic...I think it looks more like the breed anyways. That is interesting that they look different.
